Welcome Class of 2027!

8th Graders – We are so excited to get to know you as you explore St. Catherine of Siena Academy this year!

This is a very exciting time for you in your educational journey and we look forward to supporting you and your family as you search for the high school that will be the best fit for you. Here are some things you need to know:

  • Open Houses are a great opportunity for families to learn more about what St. Catherine of Siena Academy has to offer. This year our Open Houses will be held on the following dates:
    • Sunday, September 18, 2022 12-2 pm;
    • Monday, November 19, 2022 6-8pm;
    • Thursday, February 2, 2023 4-6 pm;
    • Thursday, May 18, 2023 4-6pm.

To register to attend any of the Open Houses, please submit an inquiry and check the “Attend an Open House” box to select your desired date.

  • Shadow Days | We highly encourage all 8th graders to “be a STAR for a day!” Being a Star for the day (a.k.a. shadowing) means you will spend a school day with one of our students. Shadowing is a great opportunity to experience SCA as a student! Learn more and schedule your shadow day! Last day to shadow for the 2021-22 email is April 12.
  • The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is for all incoming 8th graders (incoming Freshmen) to be used for academic scholarships and general placement decisions. St. Catherine of Siena Academy will be a testing site this year. The test will be administered at SCA on November 19, December 3 (w/accommodations), January 7, and February 4. The cost is $50.  Learn more about the HSPT and how to schedule your test.
  • To apply, please submit a formal application online. This online application will include 1) requesting a Teacher Recommendation (this is sent to your child’s teacher directly via email), 2) requesting transcripts from your daughter’s school (from the last 2 years) and submit online or via email, and 3) completing the Supplemental Writing and submit it online or via email.  Learn more.
  • Open an Admissions Account to be able to view your daughter’s admissions checklist, view and register for upcoming admissions events, and complete SCA’s application for admission. To create your admissions account, click here.

Freshmen Fun Night | Tuesday, April 26, 2022
Class of 2026 Welcome Party

We are so excited to meet and greet our newest STARS, the class of 2026! Our student council has been working hard to plan this fun evening for their sisters! Incoming freshmen can look forward to dinner, a scavenger hunt, a freshman fashion show, crafts, and so much more! This is a great opportunity to build relationships before the girls start school in the fall.

Parents are invited to stay at SCA during the Freshman Fun Night event to mingle and make connections with the parents who, four years from now, will be sitting next to them at their daughter’s SCA graduation!

“Another thing I enjoyed about the school was the athletics. I played four different sports at this school and I had the same experience with all of them. The coaches really cared about me, not just how well I was performing and I was treated respectfully on and off the court. Further more, I felt that I was really being pushed physically and mentally during practice which I value in any activity.”

Alumna

“I LOVE this school. The teachers are excellent. Because the students are so friendly, it’s easy to fit in and make friends even if you have had a tough time at other schools. There is virtually no bullying and it is a very friendly, positive environment. Highly recommended.”

Alumna, Class of '17

“An excellent community for families that want to stay involved!”

Leighanne

“This school is not only college prep, it is life prep. I know that my daughter is being educated to go out and make a positive difference in the world. She will graduate with the confidence and courage to lead wherever she goes in life. I love the principal, the teachers, and the families. It is such a blessing to be a part of the SCA Family. I know the friends my daughter has made will be her sisters for life.”

SCA Parent

“As a graduate of this school, I can attest to not only the strong education I received from SCA but also the strong foundation I was given in which I could build my own faith upon. I felt fully prepared for the ‘real world’ both academically and spiritually.”

MaryKatherine

“My family has had an excellent experience at this school so far. Beyond the beautiful new facility, I have been impressed with the teachers and the administration! They challenge the girls both academically and spiritually, they know them by name, and appear to have a genuine concern for each individual student. The school really feels like a family. As a parent, it is a blessing to me to know that my daughter is in such good hands when I drop her off everyday.”

SCA Parent

“This high school experience is like none other you can get anywhere. There is joy and comradery and the girls are happy and excel. They are being supported and encouraged by staff. You can watch a girl come in who had a bad experience elsewhere, bloom here and become a different girl in a short time. Can’t say enough good about it. Thank God the founders had this vision and followed through with it. Well needed and we are very thankful!”

“This school has a very strong faith atmosphere! The school is fairly new, but is starting to build a name for itself both spiritually and academically. The faculty and staff rock!”

Student, Class of '19

“This place (SCA) is about the best Catholic high school you can go to, in my opinion. The whole school isn’t just a school, but a family where everybody knows everybody. It’s a small enough school for that to be possible-and it’s really awesome! What makes SCA different is the people that make up the SCA family. There are no bullies and no one is mean to you. Everybody looks out for you and your teachers become friends….This place is really close to my heart.”
