COVID-19 Tips & Updates from Nurse Mason
November 23, 2020
As we go into this week of Thanksgiving, please remember all the things that you can be thankful for. It has been a crazy 9 months and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get calmer too soon. However, I am sure there is something that each one of us can be thankful for. I know that although I love watching my kids play sports, it has been a blessing to have this extra time with them to just hang out. They all grow up so fast that this forced time to slow down has given me time with them, that I would not have had, because they would be off doing other things.
Giving Thanks Challenge:
I have a challenge for you….each day this week, write down one thing that you are thankful for. If it involved another person drop them a text, email, or handwritten note. We are all feeling the stress of the chaos, so just think how nice it would feel for someone to say thanks! We are all in this together…we need to help each other with our mental health as well as doing what we can to protect ourselves and other’s physical health. (wear your mask, socially distance and wash your hands!)
Celebrate Safely:
I know everyone has heard that this Thanksgiving really should be with your own household. Here is a link with some suggestions of how to still celebrate but do it safely: Keep Safety on the Table.
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving….and please stay safe.
