COVID-19 Tips & Updates from Nurse Mason
November 9, 2020
Thanksgiving is Just Around the Corner!
Thanksgiving is a time when many families travel long distances to celebrate together. Although we do want you to be able to celebrate, we also want you, your family, and our community to be safe. Please read the following information before making any decisions on how you will celebrate this year.
Travel increases the chance of getting and spreading the virus that causes COVID-19. Staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others. If you must travel, be informed of the risks involved.
From the CDC:
Enjoy Thanksgiving activities and take steps to protect yourself from getting or spreading COVID-19. Celebrate virtually or with members of your own household poses low risk for spread. In-person gatherings pose varying levels of risk.

Test Methods
A lot of people wonder what kind of test they should get and when. If you are under quarantine due to close exposure it is not necessary to get tested unless symptoms appear. It is recommended that those being tested take a Molecular Test and Antibody Test. If a Rapid Test (antigen) is administered, please be sure that the PCR Test (molecular) is also sent out for analysis. LEARN MORE
