Why Support SCA?

St. Catherine of Siena Academy is a life-preparatory Catholic high school. Academically, we challenge our students in a rigorous college preparatory program which prizes excellence and an integration of faith with reason. We strive to stretch both the mind and heart of each young woman who walks through our doors.

St. Catherine depends on the generous support of our community to provide our students the opportunity to develop their feminine genius, by discovering their unique dignity, identity, and gifts as women created in the image of God.

We invite our community of parents, alumnae, alumnae parents, grandparents, staff, and friends to consider making a gift in support of our young women in a way that is meaningful to them.

Annual Giving Opportunities

Annual Fund

The The Rev. Richard J. Elmer Education Fund is an ongoing fundraising effort that supports SCA’s commitment to affordable tuition while maintaining its academic excellence. This ongoing fundraising effort helps bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating students. Gifts to the Fund provide crucial resources for initiatives such as curricular enhancements, faculty and staff development, campus improvements, technology upgrades, athletics and fine arts, service programs, and tuition assistance. Every gift makes an immediate impact on St. Catherine students and on the life of the school!

Benefit Gala – A Night In Siena

The Annual Benefit Gala, A Night In Siena, is St. Catherine largest fundraising event and the showpiece of the school’s social calendar. Proceeds from this event will support the school’s operational needs and any special projects of the school. A Night In Siena includes an impressive collection of silent and live auction items, fine dining, drinks, and time to socialize with friends. The Special Appeal is a paddle raise item during the live auction portion of the event to fund the tuition assistance program at St. Catherine. Currently, 30% of our students receive tuition assistance.

The 2019 Benefit Gala will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Academy on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Please contact Lia Johnston at (248) 946-4848 x 117 or ghenning@saintcatherineacademy.org for more information.

Golf Classic

The Annual Golf Classic, Fore The Stars, is traditionally held at a private country club in the Spring. The day is filled with golf, dinner, prizes, fun, and a little friendly competition. Proceeds from this event will support the school’s operational needs and any special projects of the school. Please contact Lia Johnston at (248) 946-4848 x 117 or ghenning@saintcatherineacademy.org for more information.

“SCA is authentically and unapologetically Catholic. It’s excellence in academics and athletics is rooted in its mission to pass on the beauty of the Catholic faith in a way that is relevant to the modern world. The result is a constant focus on the character and virtue of its students, challenging them to be the best version of themselves not just academically, but spiritually as well.”

SCA Parent

“An excellent school that brings the girls together more like sisters rather than friends.”

Zina

“[Teachers] care about the success of each student. They come early to help students and stay after school if necessary. They are a super dedicated faculty.”

SCA Parent

“[SCA] builds upon your faith and strengthen you academically throughout the four years in high school so that you are more than ready when you move on to college.”

“Beautiful school!”

Rachel

“Recently attended an event at this school – very beautiful!”

Kenneth

“I was among one of the very first classes SCA ever had. As a pioneer and a student to be a part of the foundation of clubs and classes that continue today, I am beyond proud of how far the school has come. There were many ups and downs during my four years but an amazing experience overall. Today at college I still look back on and cherish my times at SCA, thankful for the connections, education and sisterhood I acquired. I am looking forward to seeing many more young women carry on the traditions my class and recent classes have set for the future.”

Alumna, Class of '14

“This school has a very strong faith atmosphere! The school is fairly new, but is starting to build a name for itself both spiritually and academically. The faculty and staff rock!”

Student, Class of '19

“As a graduate of this school, I can attest to not only the strong education I received from SCA but also the strong foundation I was given in which I could build my own faith upon. I felt fully prepared for the ‘real world’ both academically and spiritually.”

“This place (SCA) is about the best Catholic high school you can go to, in my opinion. The whole school isn’t just a school, but a family where everybody knows everybody. It’s a small enough school for that to be possible-and it’s really awesome! What makes SCA different is the people that make up the SCA family. There are no bullies and no one is mean to you. Everybody looks out for you and your teachers become friends….This place is really close to my heart.”
