Scholarships

We want an SCA education to be within reach for families who share our mission. Our scholarships celebrate the gifts each student brings — whether it’s academic excellence, leadership, faith, or a powerful personal story. No separate financial aid application is required. Academic scholarships are awarded automatically based on HSPT scores and can be renewed each year if GPA requirements are met. Essay scholarships are one-time awards for students who show strong character, leadership, and faith — especially those who have overcome economic or personal hardships — and are submitted through the online admissions application.

St. Catherine of Siena Academy offers a limited number of $1,000 scholarships for incoming freshmen who demonstrate strong character, leadership, and faith — particularly those who have overcome economic or personal hardships. Scholarships are awarded for one year and are not renewable.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • Be an incoming freshman at SCA
  • Have faced economic or personal hardships that have shaped their growth and character
  • Demonstrate leadership, faith, and service in their school, parish, or community
  • Complete a 400–600 word essay responding to one of the prompts below, referencing their personal or economic challenge

Scholarship Essay Prompts (choose one):

  1. Missionary Heart Leadership
Jesus spent His public life going from town to town ministering to the people. By doing so, He taught His disciples (and us) how to be Christian leaders.

What do you believe it means to be a leader, and how do you use the gifts God has given you to serve others—especially through challenges you've faced?
  2. St. Catherine of Siena Virtue
Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?

How would you answer Jesus if He asked you that question? How do you live your life as one of His disciples, especially when faced with difficulties or hardships?
  3. Feminine Genius
The messages of contemporary culture often tell women that their value lies in how they look or what they accomplish.

From a Christian perspective, what is the source of a woman’s dignity, and how does this influence your daily choices and your hope to impact the world—even in the face of adversity?

    (Include at least one source.)
