Assistance and Grants

It is understood and appreciated the financial commitment and sacrifice families undertake in deciding to send their children to a Catholic school. And although paying for education is first and foremost the responsibility of the family, St. Catherine Academy and the Archdiocese of Detroit devote significant funds each year to financial aid programs that help assist families.

Every effort will be made to award some tuition support to eligible candidates. Students may be eligible for a grant each of their four years at St. Catherine Academy; however, families must apply each year. Awards are not automatically renewed.

Our tuition assistance program is designed to bridge the gap between what a family can afford and what it costs to attend St. Catherine Academy.

SCA awards tuition assistance based on financial need as determined by FACTS Management, an independent third-party contractor. By completing the FACTS form online by March 1, you will be considered for ALL financial assistance grants available from St. Catherine Academy. For more information about the Archdiocese of Detroit Tuition Assistance see information below.

  • Applications for the 2023-24 academic year will be open on November 1.
  • For incoming freshmen, the priority tuition assistance application* deadline is December 16, 2022, then rolling

*Priority tuition assistance applicants will receive their award amount in the acceptance package mailed out on January 27, 2023.

“An excellent school that brings the girls together more like sisters rather than friends.”

Zina

“SCA is authentically and unapologetically Catholic. It’s excellence in academics and athletics is rooted in its mission to pass on the beauty of the Catholic faith in a way that is relevant to the modern world. The result is a constant focus on the character and virtue of its students, challenging them to be the best version of themselves not just academically, but spiritually as well.”

SCA Parent

“I LOVE this school. The teachers are excellent. Because the students are so friendly, it’s easy to fit in and make friends even if you have had a tough time at other schools. There is virtually no bullying and it is a very friendly, positive environment. Highly recommended.”

Alumna, Class of '17

“My first day of freshman year was something I never expected, Saint Catherine just felt like home. The atmosphere, staff, and the student body were all so amazing. I knew from the second I came to the school that it was where I was meant to be. I am currently a senior and my experience so far has been one too remember I have grown mentally, physically, spiritually and my journey has been one to remember. I love SCA and all the girls I have met are truly going to be my sisters throughout my life, its an amazing school and is a place I will call home forever.”

You receive a spiritual hug when you walk through the door at St. Catherine of Siena Academy. Christ is at the center and He is opening up His arms saying “these are your friends, this is your family.” – Erika, SCA Alumnae

Erika

“This high school builds the whole young woman intellectually, spiritually, and teaches the feminine genius approach to life. Amen!”

Chrissy

“As a graduate of this school, I can attest to not only the strong education I received from SCA but also the strong foundation I was given in which I could build my own faith upon. I felt fully prepared for the ‘real world’ both academically and spiritually.”

“Even if there were 10 stars, I would still put 11!”

Katherine

“An excellent community for families that want to stay involved! Everyone has a different opinion and all students, staff, and faculty are respectful of it. I have never been in an environment that was so inviting and welcoming. It is easy to find a home in this school because the staff genuinely care about you and want you to succeed. It really is a beautiful place and a great experience. I am very lucky to have gone through high school there.”

Alumna

“I was among one of the very first classes SCA ever had. As a pioneer and a student to be a part of the foundation of clubs and classes that continue today, I am beyond proud of how far the school has come. There were many ups and downs during my four years but an amazing experience overall. Today at college I still look back on and cherish my times at SCA, thankful for the connections, education and sisterhood I acquired. I am looking forward to seeing many more young women carry on the traditions my class and recent classes have set for the future.”
