HOSA (Future Health Professionals) provides opportunities for knowledge, skill, and leadership development of students interested in healthcare. The 2023 Michigan HOSA Student Leadership Conference was held April 27-28 at the Grand Traverse Resort. At the conference, students from the nine regions around the state competed to determine the best of the best in their event.

Of the 24 SCA students who competed in regionals 14 students qualified for the State finals and traveled to Traverse City. We are proud of all our participants and extend our congratulations to our four state finalists:

• Regional Gold Medal Winners in the Emergency Medical Technician category: Sophomores Valencia Imperi and Isabel Thomas
• Regional Gold Medal Winner in the Research Poster category: Junior Lauren Proper
• Junior Lauren Proper in Biology and sophomore Emily Mahon in Chemistry
