Alexa Rastigue '19

Alexa Rastigue '19 was a standout student-athlete at St. Catherine of Siena Academy and Bellarmine University.. At SCA, she was a four-year starter in field hockey, serving as team captain in her junior and senior years, and a JV assistant coach. She earned first-team All-State, All-Catholic honors, and team MVP from sophomore to senior years. Her senior team went undefeated in the regular season, winning the Catholic League championship. Alexa also played club field hockey for Pinnacle and participated in soccer, softball, and basketball, earning additional All-Catholic honors.

At Bellarmine University, Alexa tied the program's all-time record for defensive saves (16). In her fifth year in 2023, she led the MAC with seven defensive saves and started all 17 games. She was named to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Team and recognized as an Academic All-MAC honoree. Throughout her collegiate career, she earned a spot on the NFHCA National Academic Squad and logged a career-high 989 minutes in her final season.

Alexa's coaching career includes experience with Stealth Field Hockey Club, The International Field Hockey Club of Kentucky (IFHCK), and Pinnacle Field Hockey Club, where she coached teams ranging from U6 to U19, including top national teams. In the summer of 2024, she coached Pinnacle’s U16 national team, securing 9th place at the National Club Championship. After finishing her fifth-year season at Bellarmine, she coached at Oberlin College for the spring season before accepting a position at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania, where she moved in July 2024.

Alexa earned her undergraduate degree in 2023, double-majoring in elementary education and learning behavior disorders, with a minor in business. In 2024, she completed her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Her passion for education and coaching continues to inspire her journey in athletics and academics.
