Katie Grose '19

Katie Grose '19 was a standout athlete at St. Catherine of Siena Academy, where she served as senior captain of the volleyball team. Her leadership and performance helped secure Catholic League Championships in 2017 and 2018. During her high school career, she played a key role in the team’s success, including a perfect 6-0 league finish and impressive national and state rankings.

Katie Grose enjoyed a stellar collegiate career at Ave Maria University. As a freshman in 2019, she earned Sun Conference Freshman of the Year and First Team All-Sun Conference honors, recording 810 assists, 34 aces, 55 blocks, 105 kills, and 164 digs. In 2020, Katie was named to the Sun Conference All-Academic Team and was a three-time Setter of the Week, accumulating 297 assists, 68 digs, 40 kills, and 23 blocks.

In 2021, Katie was recognized as Ave Maria’s Female Comeback Player of the Year and a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete. She returned from injury to contribute 36 assists, 15 digs, nine blocks, and nine kills in the final six matches, including the Sun Conference Tournament championship, where she added four kills and three block assists. By the end of her junior year, she ranked fourth in career assists, sixth in total blocks, and tenth in service aces at Ave Maria.

Katie's success continued into 2022, where she and teammate Reina Thomas received AVCA Top Flight honors, leading their team to a 12-3 record in beach volleyball and winning all three matches in the Sun Conference Tournament. She graduated from Ave Maria University with a BSN in nursing in 2023.
